Stitched in 2003 as a present for my MIL, this piece opened the door to linens for me.

Lavendar & Lace Finishes
humm, I rotated the view on this in Photobucket but it doesn't show up here! This is Angel of Grace by Lavendar & Lace and is the first cross-stitch piece I stitched for myself. It was finished in 1987 or 1988.

Truth Storykeep
This is Truth Storykeep by Sara Butcher. It's stitched 1x1 on 28 ct. Lugana. I just pulled the thread closest to my stitching on all 4 sides, pulled another thread (on all 4 sides) 5 threads from the edges. This let me fold it back for a nice edge all the way around and creates a nice seamless way to whip-stitch the piece closed.
I really need to upload all my other finishes..............

Marquoir Story
One of my first samplers, done in 3 different variegated DMCs. I was working on them while everyone was ga-ga over the the overdyes, and finished it in early 2006.
note Shortly after, a famous modern sampler model was stitched in the same variegated yellow-gold in the pic (not by me, hehehe) and the rest is history.
Kimono Row
Wisteria Window
This was a project I really enjoyed. It's still unframed! I love all kinds of stained glass hues because of their jewel-like colours, and this particular piece can be tracked to a stained glass piece by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
Wish there were more stained glass patterns out there, cos I'd do them in a heartbeat!
Oriental Phoenix and Dragon
by Carolyn Meacham
on (you guessed it) 14ct aida
Companion pieces by Serendipity. I really do like Carolyn Meacham's stuff (have 3 more charts to stitch heh heh). I do apologise regarding the dragon's pic -- it was overexposed with the camera's flash.
Flame of the Forest
A small table top thing aka Flame of the ForestNordic Needle (I think Rosalyn Watnemo)
25ct evenweave in cream, with DMC and Anchor variegated threads
Goddess of Mercy
Dutch Sampler
My first introduction to aida alternatives. And there was, thus, no turning back.
Eightsome Reel
The Knight
Big Purple Monster
A household project for my parents' table. The cutting wasn't so bad, but the counting and the flowers... phew, I was glad when this is over!

Floral Retreat
Stitched over 2 on 28ct cream linen
Cross-stitch and half crossed with a varied number of strands
Finished: June 13th, 2007
I stitched this under severe time constraints for mommy, as I needed to get it done before going home for a visit. Fortunately, there are quite a bit of half-crossed involved which sped up the stitching process.
A Bouquet for Cheryl
Cross-stitch 1 over 1
Fabric: 25ct Sudden Storm by Silkweaver Expressions
Floss: Sublime by Carrie's Creation
Finished: March 19th, 2007
This was supposed to be a gift for my mother-in-law, but at this moment in time, I have no idea where I stashed it!!!
Vis-à-vis
Cross-stitch 1 over 1
Fabric: 25ct Sudden Storm by Silkweaver Expressions
Floss: Amethyst by Caron Waterlilies
Finished: 2011
My first venture into the world of hand-dye silk floss, this was a fun one to see take shape. I found a poem and added it with the initials of my friend's parents after her dad passed away.
